He appeared in the movie Regret directed by Abdel-Khaleq Rashid Al-Samarrai, and he participated with Catherine Youssef in forming the Semiramis Film Company, which produced the film Teswahen for which he wrote the story, dialogue, and the script for him, in addition to directing the film and playing a role in it. He worked in several official positions, including in the Ministry of Youth, mass culture, radio, and television. He worked as a director at the General Organization for Cinema and Theater and directed a number of documentaries, including This Is How Basra Will Be and Iraq, Ancient and Modern.
