An Iraqi screenwriter, born in Dhi Qar Governorate, in 1946. He worked in the field of theater, television and radio. He presented social television work since the sixties, and was known for his wonderful drama series such as Little Wishes, and Wings of Birds. Also among his films were Building No. 13 (1987), and Two Faces in the Picture (1989). Among his plays is Love in the Tannery (1993). The late artist left his country for Jordan in the early nineties due to severe financial hardship, and returned to it in the year 2000. He wrote many unproduced works. He had a first stroke in the year 2000, from which he was cured in 2001, followed by three other strokes, then a fourth fatal one. In 2004, he was referred to retirement, but his love for literature, art and culture prompted him to work at the Iraqi Media Network as an examiner for television scripts in 2005 until his death in February 18.
