Egyptian actor and director, born in Cairo. He is the brother of writer Lotfy El Kholy and uncle of film editor Ashraf El Kholy. He has worked as an assistant director, after which he directed several plays like The King of Beggars, The Tiger, and The Moon of Lovers. His work include Woman Under Surveillance (2000), Court Arguments (2014), Sweet Killing (1998) and The Extension (1996). He has also appeared as an actor on several works. He Died on 19 March 2016.
