Nancy A’gram can be considered a unique case with regards to the Arab music scene. A’gram attracted attention following the success of two songs titled “Akhasmak Aahh” and “Ya Salam”. Following her earliest appearances on television A’gram was dubbed “Marilyn Monroe”. Her first song led to her being liked by audiences very early on throughout the different parts of the Arab World. Her songs were rather groundbreaking and were characterized by a measure of frankness and spontaneity which took everyone by surprise.
