A French writer, born on January 15, 1622 in Paris, France. He studied at Clermont College and worked for a while in the legal field. He then turned to writing. He is known for Tartuffe, El médico a palos, Amphitryon, and Would-Be Gentleman. He died on February 17, 1673 in Paris, France.
