Rose Byrne is a beautiful Australian actress whom many mistake to be American for her fiercely authentic American twang. She made her film debut in the small Australian film "Dallas Doll" in 1994, which she followed with appearances on a number of Australian soaps and TV shows. She won the Venice Film Festival Award for Best Actress for her performance in "The Goddess of 1967" in 2000. She played Ellen Parsons on the show "Damages" (2007-2012) alongside Glenn Close. For the role, she earned two Golden Globes and two Emmy nominations. She has recently starred in a series of commercially and critically successful films like "Insidious," "X-Men," and "Bridesmaids." She was born in Sydney, Australia, on July 24, 1979.
