Frances Fisher is an American stage, television and film actress, writer and singer best known for playing the prostitute Strawberry Alice in "Unforgiven" (1992) and Ruth DeWitt Bukater, the mother of Kate Winslet's character in "Titanic" (1997). She won a Drama Logue Award along with her ensemble in Caryl Churchill's play "Three More Sleepless Nights." With an extensive resume in theatre, Fisher has also appeared in films "The House of Sand and Fog" (2003), "In the Valley of Elah" (2007), "The Kingdom" (2007) with Jamie Foxx and Jennifer Garner, "The Roommate" (2011) and "The Host" (2013).
