An American actor of Polish origin, born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA. He obtained a degree in economics from Temple University in Pennsylvania and worked as a bookkeeper at the Federal Reserve Bank before obtaining a scholarship from the American Theatre Wing in New York. Robert Prosky participated in a number of works, such as Lincoln: Trial by Fire (1974) and The Ordeal of Bill Carney (1981). He was also nominated for the Joseph Jefferson Award for his performance in the play Glengarry Glen Ross in 1984.
