She won the Silver Ribbon Award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role, presented by the Italian National Syndicate of Film Journalists, for her role in Il medico della mutua (1968). Her credits include Amarcord (1973) and Cinema Paradiso (1988). She was previously married to Luigi Dell'Isola from 1962 to 1976. She died on December 8, 1999 in Rome, Lazio, Italy, of a brain hemorrhage.
