She is known for her roles in Mr. Blandings Builds His Dream House (1948), Sentimental Journey (1946), and Dragonwyck (1946). She was married to Franklin Dunbar Geldert, with whom she had four children, but they got divorced. She passed away at the age of 68 from cancer on May 22, 2001, in Santa Rosa, California, USA.
