He graduated from a private school in 1915, and the following year, he was in Hollywood, presenting silent films about the American West and short comedy films until 1921 when he stopped working in cinema to become...Read more a motorcycle policeman in the San Fernandez Valley. In 1928, he took a motorcycle ride to warn residents of the Santa Clara River Valley of the impending flood waters sweeping west to the ocean from the failed St. Francis Dam. He was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal, and by the end of the year, he was the Santa Paula Chief of Police. In 1939, he returned to film work and played a variety of uncredited roles such as bartender, driver and policeman. He married Ethel Hopper, they had one child, and she remained with him until his death. Among his notable works are The Miracle Kid (1941), Lieutenant Danny, U.S.A. (1916) and Emergency Landing (1941). He died in Lindsay, California, USA on February 1, 1988.
