Raghda Revives Her Cinema Career through Participation in “Al Markib” (“The Boat”)

Syrian performer Raghda seems to be characterized by a great degree of creative vitality as of late following her decision to join the cast of “Al Markib” (“The Boat”) thus ending a long absence from the world of cinema. On the set of this most recent title Raghda will be joined by a large number of youthful performers including Yousra Al Lozy, Ahmed Hatim, Farrah Youssif and Reem Hilal in addition to director Ou’thman Abou Laban. The title employs a screenplay that was authored by Haitham and Ahmed Al Dahan.Raghda is simultaneously conducting rehearsals for a theatrical work titled “Balqees”. That production is directed by Ahmed A’bd Al Halim and utilizes a screenplay that was authored by Mahfouz A’bd Al Rahman. Several performers have been nominated for roles in that play, amongst whom are Ahmed A’bd Al Warith, Samira A’bd Al A’ziz, Ahmed Salama and Ahmed Fouad Selim. Worthy of note is that Raghda’s previous cinema work was titled “Laila fee Al Qamar” (“A Night on the Moon”). The work was filmed seven years ago but only premiered in 2008. That title was directed by Kheiry Bushara.
