Yasmine, a young French woman of Algerian descent, arrives in Algeria in search of her fiancé, whom she hasn't heard from for 6 months, nor does she speak Arabic. She finds out Rashid has been kidnapped by Islamic extremists, and without considering the dangers ahead of her, she makes sure he is alive. While on the search for him, she learns more about the violence in the country.
