A villager adopts a child and names him Mas'oud. Despite the new parents' attempts, Mas'oud remains drawn and spends his time with a group of children torturing birds. His father punishes him but is unable to get him to stop. As the father dies, Mas'oud leaves the village and joins some delinquents.
