Ismail chides Nawara after a letter from the Social Affairs Sector concerning her is sent to her grandmother, Hosna. Nawara meets Hamed secretly on the roof. A man turns to Ismail to get his drugs back to him from Hassan the thug.

As Hassan gets attacked by thugs, Hosna takes him to the hospital. While looking for a suitor, Nawara is torn between Hassan and Hamed. Ismail assigns an accountant to help him in a tax evasion operation.

Sharif and his family set a date to visit Ismail's house and ask for Noha's hand in marriage. Nawara feels jealous of Noha because of the education gap between them.

After Sharif's family visits him, Ismail postpones Noha and Sharif's marriage until she graduates. Nawara decides to complete her studies and avoids Hassan, who attacks Hosna's house after Nawara refuses to marry him.

Hassan threatens to disfigure Nawara's face in the presence of Sharif and Ismail. Sharif gets angry at Ismail's objection to his repeated visits to them alone. Nawara promises Hassan that she'll marry him after her graduation.

As Hassan beats Nawara after she defends Hamed against him, Hosna dies during the quarrel, whereupon Nawara makes a mysterious agreement with Ismail in order to have him protect her and take care of her.

Nawara hides in the house of her teacher, Mofida, after obtaining her high school certificate. After Hassan attacks Ismail's house and stabs him, he gets imprisoned. Nawara lives secretly in an apartment owned by Ismail.

Sharif and Noha get married. After Nawara enrolls in the university, Ismail showers her with gifts as she behaves decently and devotes herself to her studies. Ismail turns against his wife, Souad.

Mofida objects to Ismail's repeated visits to Nawara and warns the latter about him. Ismail suffers a health crisis, as a result of which Nawara collapses. Noha suspects that there is a relationship between Nawara and her father.

Nawara sells Hosna's jewelry and gets Ismail's car repaired, which strengthens their love relationship. Noha accuses Nawara of exploiting Ismail and threatens her to have her stay away from him.

Ismail comes to his senses and promises Nawara that he'll protect her reputation. Nawara runs away from Ismail's apartment to Mofida's house and asks him to abandon her.

As Ismail and Nawara have an unofficial marriage, he gets her a new apartment to live in. A period of time passes and Noha gives birth to Ismail's grandchild.

Heidi seeks to get close to Nawara. Souad notices that Ismail has changed in his treatment of her and makes sure of his marriage to another, so Ismail moves to Nawara's apartment, after which he returns to his home after his children intervene to reconcile him and Souad.

Nawara suffers as Adel, her college instructor, is constantly scolding her, after which Sarah befriends his cousin, and Ismail suffers a health crisis.

Ismail wonders about Sarah's visits to Nawara, who is afraid of confessing to Ismail that she met with Adel and Sarah, whereupon Ismail begins to feel jealous over Nawara. Alaa eavesdrops on a call between Ismail and Nawara.

Noha returns to Ismail's house after quarreling with her husband. Alaa turns against Ismail, who agrees that Nawara go on a university field trip.

Sameh visits Ismail and Nawara's apartment to reconcile Noha and Sharif. Ismail feels jealous over Nawara with Sameh present. Souad dreams about Ismail cheating on her.

Nawara travels with Sarah and Adel and continues to hide the truth about her relationship with Ismail from them. Noha returns to Sharif's house.

Adel visits Ismail with his family and asks him for Nawara's hand in marriage, but Ismail announces to them that she is his wife. Nawara is surprised by his attempt to control her and asks him for a divorce, but he refuses.

Nawara escapes from Ismail's apartment, and the latter fails to find her in Mofida's house. As Nawara goes to Sameh's house, Noha tries to kick her out.

Nawara returns to Mofida's house. As Souad asks for a divorce, Ismail's family life is shattered.

Nawara asks Sameh to help her in her predicament with Ismail, and her phone calls with Sameh become frequent, which angers Shahinaz.

Hantirah helps Nawara financially and promises to convince Ismail to return her stuff to her. Nawara discovers that Hazem has fallen in love with Safaa, after which Nawara looks for a job.

Nawara begins working for the tailor Harankash without Ismail's knowledge, and the latter recalls his memories with Nawara, despite his return to living with Souad.

Nawara hands over the key to her apartment to Hantirah after he tells her that there is a buyer for the apartment, upon which Hantirah steals Hosna's jewelry box from Nawara's house.

Hantirah hands over Hosna's box to Nawara, who is surprised when Hassan is released from prison and returns to threaten her, after which he escapes from her and returns to the neighborhood.

Hassan holds a big celebration in the neighborhood and begins to provoke Ismail. Nawara is surprised by El Prince's visit to Harankash's shop.

As El Prince falls for Nawara, his visits to Harankash's shop become longer, and the latter notices that and tells him that she is married to Ismail.

Noha is frustrated as her new pregnancy causes Sharif to avoid her. Heidi watches Nawara for El Prince. Nawara asks Sameh to help her again.

Nawara notices that her vendor neighbor is watching her, and as she reveals to Hamed her marriage to Ismail, the latter collapses.

Hamed discusses with Souad her adherence to her marriage to his father. Hassan watches Ismail as he goes to meet Nawara, but Ismail retreats before meeting her.

Hassan assaults Nawara again, and when El Prince intervenes to save her, she rebukes him, after which she asks Hassan to help her divorce Ismail.

As Ismail divorces Nawara, he recalls his memories with her, after which he suffers a heart attack and is taken to the hospital, and Nawara visits him before his death.

Disputes escalate between Riyad and Mofida. As Nawara returns to her work, El Prince returns to pursuing her, and she submits to him. Hassan returns to visiting Nawara.

After Shazly sullies Nawara’s reputation, Mofida admonishes her for being indulgent with men. As Nawara gets expelled by Mofida, El Prince intervenes to help her.
