The people of Moqattam are overjoyed when Shatta proposes to the belly dancer Ahlam, but she is in love with Awad the tissue paper street seller. Awad has to come up with the wedding expenses to propose to Ahlam and counter Shatta's offer.

The residents of Moqattam are occupied by a viral sensation of happiness. Shatta has proposed to the belly dancer Ahlam, who is in love with Awad, a tissue paper street seller. Awad now has to manage the wedding expenses in a few days to propose to Ahlam and counter Shatta's offer. Ahlam tries to help Awad by trying herself in prostitution, while Awad steals his brother's clothes to sell them. In the night of their wedding, Ahlam confesses to Awad about what she did.
