When the village mayor plots a murder, Dr. Ra'afat refuses to help him cover it up, leading the mayor to fabricate an accusation for Ra'afat who ends up in a mental hospital. As Ra'afat is released years later, he finds everything has changed, as his sister has seized his share of his father's inheritance.
