Nadia, the daughter of wealthy man Shaker, meets Hosni the engineer, the son of a poor fisherman while studying. They return to Port said, where Hosny's father suffers from the injustice of Shaker. Nadia runs away to Cairo with Hosny to get married but her father's men catch her and threaten Hosny.
