Three families live in a large house in a strategic area in the middle of the country; Hajj Nasser wants to buy the house to set up a hotel in its place, so he and his daughter go to the Hajja, the owner of the property, with many gifts for the residents, but she refuses and returns his gifts to him.
As the Hajj tells his wife that the owner of the house refused to sell, he promises her that he will do the impossible in order to open up the hotel, even by illegal means. Various families live in the house, including a foul-mouthed woman who is cruel to the neighbors and her husband.
Karim quarrels with his sister Zakia, so she stays in her room and their mother tries to reconcile them. Yasmine is not happy in her life because of her stepmother, who only cares about her lazy son. Before Hajja Maymunah dies, she tells El Mukhtar a secret.
Yasmine meets Khaled and they talk about the house, just as her brother is in intensive care. Maymunah's son returns to Algeria with his wife who plans with Mansour to sell him the house.
As Miloud goes to his mother's house and meets Khaled, his wife looks for him everywhere in order to sign the sale contract with Mansour. When she finally finds him, she takes him to the doctor in order to give her a certificate of his ineligibility to act in anything.
Mansour's wife wants to control Yasmine and monitor her movements in the house, as she incites her father against her. As Jamila is subjected to harassment from a guy in the neighborhood, her brother quarrels with him, but the guy stabs him.
Yasmine locks herself in her room because her father opposed her relationship with Khaled and told her that there is an old enmity between them, while Khaled tries to contact Yasmine, but to no avail. Miloud's wife cuts the water on the residents of the house to get them out.
Saad prevents his sister Yasmine from going out but she goes out to meet Khaled and tell him what is happening with her at home. Mukhtar threatens Nasser not to get near the house. Nasser gives a deposit to Sakina so she can persuade Miloud to sell him the house.
Mukhtar asks his son Khaled not to meet Yasmine again and forget her. Khaled and his neighbor go to the lawyer for the issue of vacating the house that Nasser is seeking. Sakina loses her bag that contains the money and all the household papers. Parisa asks Ibrahim to watch Mansour and his daughter.
As Saad quarrels with a friend, he asks two young men to hit Khaled but his father rescues him from them. Karim gives his mother a large sum of money and tells her he has found a good job. A strange young man arrives and goes to Maymunah's house.
When Khaled finds out that Jamila met Saad, he hits her and tells his mother. Yasmine quarrels with her father and tells him that Saad is using drugs. The young man who went to Maymunah's house is her grandson and he liked the house a lot.
After Yasmine quarrels with her father, she runs away from the house and Khaled takes her to a friend of his. As Reda's wife tells Parisa that she knows that she was the one who stole Sakina's bag, she tries to take money from her in exchange for her silence.
After Saad kidnaps Jamila, Khaled and his neighbors go to Nasser's house and take the girl. After Saad finds his sister with Khaled in the cafe, he brings her back to the house and her father quarrels with her. Hamad admires Jamila very much.
As Hamad decides not to sell the house, he rejects his mother's proposal to marry Yasmine. Parisa admits to her son Saad that Yasmine is not his sister, but rather a girl raised by his father. Nasser files a case against the journalist who published news against him regarding financial corruption.
As Khaled meets Saad, someone shoots Saad who dies, and Khaled escapes. The officer tells Mukhtar that it's best for Khaled to turn himself in. Parisa wants to avenge her son herself; she asks Nasser to help her.
As Khaled hides with his friend Samy, Yasmine does not want to talk to him, while she tells her father that she knows that she is not his daughter. The police watch Yasmine to reach Khaled. Sakina and Miloud travel to France, while Hamad stays at the house.
As Khaled tells Yasmine that someone gave him an appointment with Saad on the night of the crime, she believes that he did not kill Saad. Parisa quarrels with Nasser and prevents him from entering the company; she tells Yasmine that she is not part of the family.
Nasser tells Yasmine that she is his daughter and that Parisa is lying to her. Parisa goes to the attorney to get her share of the company. Khaled is arrested and the police are still investigating the crime, especially as they have concluded that the gun belongs to Nasser.
As Mukhtar suffers a stroke, he is taken to the hospital. Yasmine visits Khaled in prison and reassures him, as the investigator discovers new evidence in the case exonerating Khaled. As Sakina returns home, Reda's wife gives her her papers.
Nasser is arrested after the officer accuses him of drug trafficking and killing his son Saad. As Nasser sees Khaled in prison, Khaled tells him that he did not kill his son. After years of silence, Miloud tells Sakina that he will not sell the house.
Mukhtar is glad because Sakina will not sell the house as his eldest daughter returns to her husband. During the trial of Khaled and Nasser, Saad's friend accuses Ibrahim of threatening her and that he is the one who killed Saad. Nasser accuses Ibrahim of money laundering and he gets arrested.
Both Khaled and Nasser are released from prison after their innocence is proven. Karim is arrested after Ibrahim paid him to kill Khaled, but he killed Saad to take revenge on him for going out with his sister. Khaled proposes to Yasmine, and Nasser agrees. Hamad asks for Jamila's hand.
