As El Hanouf is upset about her father's request to take care of the sheep, Nahar meets her and admires her and decides to marry her. His cousin Firas advises him against it because of her father's bad reputation, and his uncle refuses their marriage for the same reason.

Nahar tells El Hanouf of his love for her and his desire to marry her, and at the same time his uncle insists on rejecting their marriage and threatens to disavow him.

As El Hanouf tells Nahar that Sweilem has proposed to her, he gets angry and goes to Ruwaihi and asks for her hand in marriage, but her father burdens him with a large dowry, and many requests, so Nahar is forced to borrow from Abu Rumeish in order to marry her.

El Hanouf is looking for her dowry at her father's house so that Nahar returns it to Abu Rumeish and settles his debt. Firas tries to convince his father to help Nahar. Two thieves kill Ruwaihi and steal his money.

Nahar suspects Sweilem of stealing Ruwaihi's money, and El Hanouf suggests to Nahar to take her inheritance and trade with it. As Abu Firas meets Abu Rumeish to pay Nahar's debt, he forgives him, and meets Hanouf and blesses her marriage.

Jadoua and his men rob Firas and Nahar after the latter sold El Hanouf's inheritance, and seize their money. Nahar refuses to return to the tribe after losing El Hanouf's money.

Abu Rumeish asks El Hanouf to give up her house to pay the rest of Nahar's debt, who turns to one of the tribes to work in it, and asks for protection from Jadoua to take revenge on him. Abu Firas thinks of going out to look for Nahar.

As Firas dies, El Hanouf asks Sweilem not to tell his father of his death. Abu Rumeish insists on taking Nahar's house, and El Hanouf is forced to live in Abu Firas's house.

As Abu Firas goes out to search for his son and Nahar, he loses his sight, while Nahar dies. Abu Rumeish asks to marry El Hanouf who refuses, while she agrees to marry Sweilem.
