When Besh'aib learns that his sister met Hamid in front of Dahman's shop, he gets angry and quarrels with her. Meanwhile, Dahman goes to Najma's house and tells her that a strange woman is looking for her.

Najma sneaks back to the house of Besh'aib at night accompanied by Omar, and when Besh'aib finds out, he gets angry and tells Yassin.

Najma and Ghalia quarrel over the payment of the electricity bill, upon which Besh'aib decides to pay it on the condition that no one in the house, other than his family, uses the electricity or the water.

Yassin accuses Besh'aib and his wife, Ghalia, of being the reason why he cannot live comfortably with his family in the shared house. Najma and Omar also clash with Besh'aib.

As Ghalia wants to be reconciled with Besh'aib, she asks his sister to help her, but Besh'aib doesn't pay attention to her. He also quarrels with Omar for ruining the kitchen utensils.

When Dahman asks Besh'aib for Najma's hand in marriage, he agrees after learning that Najma does, and Yassin rejoices, upon which a family party is held at the house. Mubarak, who immigrated earlier, returns suddenly, much to everyone's surprise.

As Mubarak asks Namja to return to him and leave Dahman, she agrees after he proved to her that he still loves her, in addition to the fact that he's become rich, but Dahman tells Namja that Mubarak is deceiving her and that he's in a relationship with a foreign woman named Sophia, who's looking for him.

Besh'aib's daughter succeeds and prepares herself to travel to the Canary Islands, which saddens him, so he goes to hide in his bakery accompanied by Yassin, but the door of the shop gets blocked by a big rock, yet Omar manages to save them, whereupon the girl decides not to travel for her father's sake.

When Mr. Kamoni comes to meet Yassin and inspect the house to buy it, Besh'aib asks Yassin to give him a written guarantee that he and his family will stay in the house for life.

Kamoni takes the document that Yassin wrote to Besh'aib. He also takes the deeds to the house and to Dahman's shop in order to defraud them, and they all think that he is a big investor, but Najma exposes him, after which the men recover their documents.

Omar participates in a lottery and wins, but he loses the ticket in the house, and as it is found by Besh'aib's sister, she, in turn, loses it among her son's books.

After Najma gets upset and leaves the house, Yassin is forced to buy food from a street vendor, which causes him to fall ill, whereupon Najma is forced to return and she makes peace with everyone.

As Yassin's wife is looking for a new dress to wear at her friend's party, she is forced to steal one of the dresses that Ghalia is sewing. Besh'aib is defrauded by Hamid, who asks him for his forgiveness.

Dahman gets angry with Yassin because he didn't pay his debts, especially since he learned about his bankruptcy. Besh'aib also borrows from him because he does not have any money.

Besh'aib quarrels with Yassin because he went to his friend's wedding, while Omar gets bad grades in exams, and when he tells Hanan about it, she rebukes him.

As Mubarak returns home, Dahman gets angry when he sees him, but he learns from Besh'aib that he is sick, so he feels sorry for him, while Besh'aib tries to treat him in the Moroccan Sufi way.

After Besh'aib learns that an earthquake will strike the area, he tells the family that they have to sleep on the ground floor, while Yassin brings in a worker who specializes in repairing the house against earthquakes.

Besh'aib finds a woman's shoe and wants to know its owner, and after his daughter tells him the story of Cinderella, he decides to enlist the help of Dahman, who brings him the women of the neighborhood to try on the shoe, whose owner, eventually, turns out to be Yassin's wife.

As Omar's application to take the flight attendants' exam is accepted, Najma trains him on what to do in the exam. When Omar passes the exam, his mother rejoices greatly.

Ghalia and Aida prepare the couscous and put it in the sun to store it. Meanwhile, Omar starts behaving like the members of the working class, which makes his mother angry with him.

Mubarak comes with his director friend and meets Najma, whom the director admires and offers to play the role of Cleopatra, but Dahman refuses, so the director is forced to work with Shams, Yassin's wife.

As the whole family feels very hungry, Najma is forced to cook some eggs because Yassin does not have money to buy food, which causes him to become depressed and stay in bed.

Ghalia suspects that Besh'aib is having an affair and that he is going to take another wife, so Omar steals his phone to look for the girl's number, but he finds nothing, and when Besh'aib finds out about it, he gets angry and tells his wife that it is just a rumor.

As a young man asks for Hanan's hand in marriage, Besh'aib agrees, while Omar loses his mind and his father tries to help him get over the shock. However, Dahman and Hamid discover the fact that the suitor is a criminal and inform Besh'aib.

Hamid deceives Besh'aib, who gets angry, accuses Ghalia of having helped him, and kicks her out of the house. After Shams quarrels with Yassin because she wants to move away from the neighborhood, she changes her mind and asks her husband for forgiveness.

A lawyer, who was disbarred due to the many complaints of citizens, tries to dupe them, and also dupe Besh'aib and Yassin, but Hanan exposes him before the two men sign the general power of attorney that he requested from them.

After the house is emptied of food due to Yassin's bankruptcy, everyone in the house decides to band together and collect their valuables in order to sell them so as to save the house from being auctioned off and also feed everyone.
