Nabaa suffers from the behavior of her husband, Madi, especially since he is always asleep and lazy, and even the neighbors notice this.

Before his death, the Hajj demands that his rifle be given to Madi, who takes it, feels that he is the most powerful person in the village, and threatens them all so that they would respect him and consider him the village's bully.

The owner of the café notices a strange man frequenting the café but does not know him, so he hands over the stranger to Mahrous.

As Nabaa works as a fortune-teller, the people of the village go to her so that she could treat them for demonic possessions, and Madi helps her and brings clients to her.

As Nabaa owns a cow, all the villagers buy the dairy products from her, but when two thieves decide to steal the cow, the villagers try to search for it, after which they find it and hand it over to Madi.

As the guards look for the thieves day and night to catch them, Madi shoots one of them, but it turns out he is not the thief.

Madi and his wife sell the produce of the orchard in the village, but the residents buy from another merchant, which angers Nabaa, so she decides to convince customers to buy from her.

Both Madi and his wife go daily to the infirmary to take medications and sell them to the villagers at a reduced price after they expire.

Zahi asks Madi to convince the villagers that he buy their land to set up a project, but he refuses, whereupon Zahi orders his men to kidnap Madi, and his wife looks for him.

Munir drinks tea daily in the café and does not pay for it, even though he is known in the village that he is a government employee. He also asks Madi to give him a food ration plus his share.

As Madi's son loves Hamid's daughter and wants to marry her, he asks his father to end the problems between him and her family in order to complete the marriage.

Ibrahim asks Madi for his daughter Damea's hand in marriage for his son, Azab, but he refuses because Azab is unemployed and agrees to Hassan, after which Azab decides to kill Hassan, but he accidentally shoots Damea, who loved him.

When Madi meets a stranger in the village who has no relatives, he asks Madi to solve a problem for him, but the café-goers think he is a spy.

Ibrahim quarrels with Madi, and the latter's son takes his friend to the city, but when Ibrahim learns, he becomes very angry.

The villagers await the arrival of a group of government officials who'll invest in and develop the village, while Madi introduces them, and they hold a big conference when they arrive.

Allawi invites a group of young students to visit the village and introduces them to the countryside, while Madi sells falafel on the road, and the students buy from him and like the food.

When Madi quarrels with Abu Suwaid, the two show their strength, but Madi, upon seeing Nabaa's ring with him, fears for her and goes to Abu Suwaid's clan to patch things up with them.

Madi pretends to be seriously ill and goes with his wife to the doctor, who gives him different medicines, while the men in the café decide to help him with money and food supplies.

Madi wants to become the sheikh of the village, so he submits a request to the state. He also tells his wish to the sheikh, who agrees and puts him in his place for an hour, only for Madi to find it difficult to assume responsibility and changes his mind.

Madi suffers from the procrastination of state employees while finishing some transaction and wants to file a complaint with the government, upon which an employee kidnaps him and threatens him.

As Madi learns that his neighbor has taken another wife, he decides to implement the same idea, but Nabaa learns and gets angry.

As a flood occurs in the village, many families are affected and leave their homes to live in the desert, while the government sends an employee to inquire about the names of the affected families.

Madi treats the villagers with music, and Nabaa helps him to play the right music for each patient.

Nabaa treats women and Madi treats men, and all the villagers go to them.

As Madi wishes to become an actor, he meets a director in the village to act in one of his works, and the man advises him to read.

Madi buys a donkey, which he attaches to a cart, goes out shopping, and uses the cart to transport residents.

Madi is in a bad psychological condition and imagines that Nabaa is dead, and the sheikh tries to help him.

When Madi's younger brother returns and meets Madi, he prevents the men from trying to kill him, while Madi still remembers Nabaa and his son who has passed away.

The Pasha suffers from epilepsy and the doctor cannot treat him, so he hears about Madi and Nabaa and orders his men to bring them to treat him with music and beatings.
