A Japanese manga artist, born in 1965. She started her career in 1984 and is best known as the creator of the long-running shōjo manga Chibi Maruko-chan, which lasted for several years, was adapted into a TV show, and was dubbed into Arabic. She died on August 15, 2018 in Japan.
