Add/Update Information: Assi Rahbani - Writer

A Lebanese musician, who formed with his brother, Mansour, the duo known as the Rahbani brothers, who helped shape the history of Arab music. Assi, Mansour's older brother, was born in the town of Antelias, Lebanon, and their father was Hannah Ibn Elias Rahbani, a Lebanese musician and composer. Assi married Fairuz, who was a long-time collaborator with the Rahbani brothers, and with whom he had four children, including writer and composer Ziad Rahbani. Together with his brother Mansour, he presented many musical and theatrical works. In 1982, he suffered a severe brain hemorrhage and underwent a successful operation, and the play The Station was his first theatrical work after recovery.
