A Chinese actor, born in Hong Kong, to a tailor father and a housewife mother. In 1971, the family moved to the United States, specifically Los Angeles, where Shou grew up. While studying at the University of California, he learned karate, until he saw that it did not provide him with what he needed, so he decided to travel to China. He then returned to study engineering at the University of California, but he found that this life did not satisfy him, so he decided to fly to Hong Kong, where he was given his first opportunity. Among his credits are Mortal Kombat (1995), Beverly Hills Ninja (1997), and Death Race (2008).
